SMETHPORT — A St. Marys man pleaded guilty Thursday in McKean County Court to sex offenses committed when he was a juvenile.
Dominic E. Prescott, 25, of 236 South Michael St. Apt 1, entered pleas to charges of aggravated indecent assault and indecent assault committed against the victim when she was 5 or 6 and Prescott was 15 or 16.
Because the case was filed when Prescott was an adult, he could be prosecuted as an adult, according to Pennsylvania law.
According to the criminal complaint, the victim made a complaint that she had been sexually assaulted by Prescott when she was a child. She gave police details of the assaults, the complaint stated.
Sentencing has been set for October to allow time for a sexual offender assessment to be completed.
