ONOVILLE, N.Y. — The eighth annual Onofest, a family-oriented afternoon and evening of music, food and fun at the Cattaraugus County-operated Onoville Marina Park, will be held from noon to 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
The marina is located on the Allegheny Reservoir off West Perimeter Road, about five miles south of Interstate 86 at the Steamburg exit. It is located in the town of South Valley.
“This started back during the county’s bicentennial year to showcase what a hidden gem Onoville is,” said Crystal Abers, director of the county’s Department of Economic Development, Planning and Tourism. “It was so well received, we decided to continue it.”
Admission is $10 per carload.
There will be nonstop music throughout the afternoon and evening. The bands and performance times include:
• Sweet A** Cream Corn, noon.
• TPT, 2:30 p.m.
• Porcelain Busdrivers, 5 p.m.
• The Hootz, 7:30 p.m.
A half-dozen food concessions are scheduled to be at Onofest, including: Horseshoe Inn with fried bologna and pot roast sandwiches; Bayview Mini Mart with a chicken barbecue and strawberry shortcake; Hide-A-Way Restaurant with beef on weck and pulled pork barbecue; T&B BBQ with brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken; R&S Enterprises with curly fries and Italian and Polish sausages; and Camper’s Kettle Corn, with a variety of flavors.
Several exhibitors have also been lined up for Onofest, including: Smith Boys of Chautauqua County with the latest display of boats; Lime Lake Marina with boats and RVs; Z&M Ag & Turf with the newest tractor models; Push Toys & Things, wind chimes and necklaces; Michelle Dimon with Avon products; Gardens of Eternity with handmade soaps and bath items; Gourmet Creation Dips by Kim; Smokin’ Bear Cigars; Eagle Dream Rehabilitation Center; and Lake Erie Flyboard.
Capping the event will be a fireworks show sponsored by Smith Boys of Chautauqua Lake.
