After an intense competition this past weekend, Nikky’s Dance Studio will be heading to Nationals once again.
The studio’s dancers came home having been awarded Regional Champions for ages 11 and under and Regional Champions for ages 11 and over in their division. They also received Golden Tickets to Worlds in the dances “Jumanji” and “Johnny Vs. The Devil.” “Captain Jack” received an Entertainment award and Nikky, the studio owner and choreographer, won Choreography Awards for the dances “Dead Hearts” and “Move.” Fifteen out of the 16 dances received platinums and all were in the top 10 with numerous first place awards.
The competition team and Nikky’s Dance Studio dancers will perform their dances at the annual dance recital to be held at 7 p.m. June 7 and 8 at the Smethport Area High School.
