Port A. sweeps OV in baseball, softball

PORT ALLEGANY — Aiden Bliss had two RBIs while Nick Wilfong doubled and had an RBI to lead Port Allegany Thursday to a 18-3 win over Oswayo Valley.
Bliss earned the mound win as well, tossing a no-hitter while striking out one and walking five.
On the mound for OV was Isaiah Goode, who struck out two and walked six while giving up three hits.
BASEBALL OTTO-ELDRED 20, SMETHPORT 10 DUKE CENTER — Otto-Eldred’s Wyatt Blendinger was 2-for-4 with five RBIs and Landon Francis added 4 during Thursday’s win over Smethport.
Francis doubled and went 3-for-5, while Manning Splain had a double and went 2-for-4.
Obenrader earned the mound win, striking out four and walking one while giving up 11 hits.
Leading Smethport were Cole Burdick and Owen Rounsville, who each had two RBIs.
Colin Riekofsky was on the mound for Smethport, giving up four hits while walking four and striking out four.
KANE 10, BRADFORD 0 KANE — Kane used two runs in the first and two in the second to take an early lead Thursday.
Leading the Wolves at the plate were Preston Darr with a double and two RBIs and Eric Novosel, who had two RBIs.
Darr worked the mound for Kane, striking out five and walking one while giving up two hits.
On the mound for Bradford was Ben Woodhouse, who struck out five and walked two while giving up six hits.
SOFTBALL PORT ALLEGANY 28, OSWAYO VALLEY 20 PORT ALLEGANY — Brynn Evens belted a home run and went 3-for-3 for Port Allegany.
Also leading the Lady Gators were Bria Wilcox with a triple and Alayna McKervey, who also tripled.
Wilcox worked the mound for Port Allegany as well, striking out six and walking eight while giving up 15 hits.
On the mound for OV was Shayden Mesler, who struck out eight and walked 12 while giving up 10 hits.
At the plate for OV, Eva West and Makenna Manning were each 3-for-3, while Lauren Hedges had five RBIs.
COUDERSPORT 22, GALETON 9 GALETON — Ella Wahlers doubled and had four RBIs while Hannah Fleniken had two doubles and four RBIs Thursday for Coudersport.
Fleniken earned the mound win as well, striking out nine and walking nine while giving up five hits.
On the mound for Galeton was Brielle Lehman, who struck out two and walked five while surrendering 10 hits.
Leading Galeton was A O’Donnell with two RBIs.
OTTO-ELDRED 21, SMETHPORT 0 DUKE CENTER — Ayla Van Scoter was 3-for-3 with two RBIs and Lexi Prince went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Also leading O-E were Carrie Drummond and Jahden Smith, who each doubled. Baylee Francis earned the mound win, striking out seven and walking one while pitching a no-hitter.
TENNIS BRADFORD 5, ECC 2 Bradford improved to 8-1 with a win over ECC Thursday.
The Owls swept the singles and claimed a victory in #1 doubles for the victory.
