Unfit for office
In 1961, six Bradford area boys were drafted. We went to Buffalo for physicals. If we passed, we would be sent to basic training. Our fear was to fail and immediately be sent back home. All passed.
The Trumps — there is evidence the family name was Drumph in Germany going back to the early 1800s — came to the United States as their grandfather evaded the German draft. President Donald Trump himself was called to serve five times during Vietnam. His father contacted a tenant, a doctor, in the Trump Building who claimed bone spurs to keep Donald from serving. He nor his sons have ever served our country.
Trump has been accused of saying Marines who died in France in World War I were “suckers and losers,” while he was a coward. A weak man demeans and belittles others. He is unfit for duty in any capacity in government.
Trump and Vice President JD Vance disgraced our country and themselves when ambushing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in front of the world and a Russian newspaper reporter they brought in to report to Russian President Vladimir Putin. He and his vice president showed great weakness bowing to Putin in the White House. They owe Zelenskyy an apology for insulting our country and Ukraine.
Trump has put a knife in the back of our NATO allies. He had our United Nations representative vote on the Russian and North Korean side against Ukraine. This is the first time America has done this. Why is this rogue president trying to get on Putin’s side? Is it for profit after his term? Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was always right, “Trump is Putin’s puppet.”
One of the late, great thinkers of our time, Stephen Hawking, quoted about Trump, “He is a demagogue who seems to appeal to the lowest common denominator.” Historians recently voted Trump the least intelligent of our country’s 250 years of presidents.
This is a rogue president and administration bent on ruining our country with layoffs of vital personnel in government departments. Next time don’t saddle us with a twice-impeached, convicted felon of 34 counts and grifter of millions at taxpayers’ expense.
Francis Carloni, Bradford
