Coudersport baseball defeats Smethport
COUDERSPORT — Danny VanVladricken doubled and had three RBIs to key Coudersport to Monday’s 13-6 win.
Sharing the mound for Coudersport were Mitchell Taylor, VanVladricken, Lawson Wetzel and G. Roessner, who combined to strike out 12, walk nine and give up seven hits.
On the mound for Smethport were C. Riekofsky, Z. Hungiville, A. Tanner, and Demetri Wilber, who combined to strike out nine, walk nine and give up 10 hits.
Wilber also had two RBIs for the Hubbers.
BASEBALL Otto-Eldred 2, Oswayo Valley 1 DUKE CENTER — Manning Splain and Ryan Schenfield each had one hit for O-E, while Wyatt Blendinger and Macaibe Splan each had an RBI to key the O-E win.
Jared Obenrader earned the mound win, striking out three and walking three while giving up two hits.
Working the mound for OV was Luke Karr, who struck out eight and walked three while giving up two hits.
SOFTBALL Coudersport 15, Smethport 0 COUDERSPORT — Coudersport shut out Smethport in three innings to claim a 15-0 victory.
Leading Coudersport at the plate was Ella Wahlers with a double and six RBIs.
Hannah Fleniken earned the mound win, striking out six and walking five while pitching a one-hitter.
On the mound for Smethport was C. Conn, who walked six and gave up 15 hits with no strikeouts.
Otto-Eldred 12, Oswayo Valley 2 DUKE CENTER — Baylee Francis, Lexie Prince and Jahden Smith each had three RBIs in Monday’s win for Otto-Eldred.
On the mound for O-E was Francis, who struck out five and walked two while giving up two hits.
Suffering the mound loss was Eva West, who struck out two and walked four while giving up two hits.
TRACK & FIELD Boys: Oswayo Valley 54, Northern Potter 52 Girls: Oswayo Valley 83, Northern Potter 28 SHINGLEHOUSE — Oswayo Valley swept the boys and girls dual meet with Northern Potter Monday.
For the Green Wave, Andrew Coriaty finished first in the 1600 and was part of the winning 1600 and 3200 relays, while Lachlan Tabechek won the 200 and triple jump and Malachi Lewis swept the throwing events.
For the Lady Green Wave, Charlotte Austin-Keech won the 800, the long jump and was part of the winning 1600 and 3200 relays, Payton Danforth won the 100,
200 and 400 and Mariah Lewis swept the hurdles. Kaelyn Beckwith won both the discus and shot put for OV as well.
