HARRISBURG (TNS) — Sheetz, known for its fuel, coffee, and food, has also been recognized as a great place to work.

For the 10th consecutive year, the Altoona-based chain made Fortune’s 100 Best Companies to Work For list.

Sheetz ranked 40th and is the only convenience store chain on the list.

Companies are measured through Great Place to Work’s survey platform.

The annual list recognizes companies with exceptional workplace cultures and high employee satisfaction.

“We do not take this honor lightly, as being named to this prominent workplace list for 10 straight years reflects our commitment to our employees,” said Travis Sheetz, president and CEO of Sheetz, in a press release.

Sheetz added that the company’s success and team members have always been a priority.

“They are the face of our brand in every community we serve, and we remain dedicated to providing them with fulfilling careers built on a culture of respect and a shared purpose of caring for people,” he said.

Sheetz announced it’s hiring 1,350 employees company-wide during hiring events held last week at each of its 770+ locations.

The Hilton lead the list in the No. 1 slot followed by Synchrony, Cisco, American Express and NVIDIA.
