Terwilliger, Keane named to D9 AAAA All-Star Teams
The District IX AAAA All-Star team for 2024-25 has been announced. Bradford’s Marcus Terwilliger and Haley Keane were named to the boys’ team and girls’ team, respectively.
Talan Reese was the honorable mention for the boys’ team. Alyssa Johnson was one of three honorable mentions for the girls’ team.
Laurel Eye Clinic “Defensive Player of the Year” honors went to ECC’s Wil Wortman and Bradford’s Keane.
Punxsutawney’s Samantha Griebel was also recognized as Laurel Eye Clinic’s Comeback Player of the Year.
Laurel Eye Clinic Rookie of the Year were DuBois’ Thacher Hanzely and Punxsutawney’s Gracyn London.
Also named to the boys’ team were: From St. Marys: Ben Paul. From ECC: Wortman, Chase Simbeck and Lance O’Neill.
From Brookville: Kellan Haines.
From DuBois: Maddox Bennett, Noah Farrell and Aidan West.
From Punxsutawney: Noah Kengersky and Evan Presloid.
Also named to the girls’ team were: From St. Marys: Taylor Gornati and Molly Hanslovan.
From ECC: Payton Newton and Mya Pistner.
From Brookville: Samantha Whitling and Emma Northey.
From Punxsutawney: Natalie Burkett and Samantha Griebel From DuBois: Audrey Kennis.
Brookville’s Ally Wilson and Punxsy’s London were the other two honorable mentions for the girls’ team.
ECC was recognized as the boys’ team champions, with a 10-0 record. Punxsutawney got the nod for girls’ team champions, with a 9-1 record.
District IX AAAA is made up of Bradford Area, Brookville Area, DuBois Area, Elk County Catholic, Punxsutawney Area, St. Marys Area schools.
