Patricia Pecora
Patricia Anne Pecora passed away peacefully of natural causes Friday (March 21, 2025) with family members by her side.
Patricia was born Sept. 6, 1925, and spent most of her life in Bradford. She recently moved to Dover, Del., to be with family.
After graduating as valedictorian of her high school class in 1942 from Bradford Area High School, Pat married the love of her life, Maurice Pecora, who predeceased her.
In the early days, she was an active member of the Catholic Women’s Club and was a regular volunteer at both St. Bernard’s School and Bradford Central Christian.
Pat dedicated her life to her family, raising eight children and lovingly spending her time with her 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pat loved reading and spending time either on her beloved porch on Burke Avenue or traveling around the east coast visiting her kids. Summer vacations spent in Maine sitting on the beach with all the kids around her was her favorite time of year.
Pat is survived by seven children, Susan (Tom) Birmingham, Maureen Pecora, Patrick (Lisa) Pecora, Rosanne (Bill) McManus, Chris Pecora, Andy (Jill) Pecora, Amy (Don Carfi) Sullivan; her grandchildren, Ryann (Eric), Michael (Nicole), Matthew, Wade (Jen), Peter (Amy), Quincy, Cole, Korbin, Andrew (Nikki), Tricia, Jeff (Lauren), Maggie and Max; and great-grandchildren, Stella, Claire, Peyton, Nico, Nina, Hayden, Lilly, Gabe, Sadie and Annie.
In addition to her husband, Pat was also predeceased by her parents, Wade and Irene Broadhead; one sister, Jeanne; two brothers, Jim and Bobby; and beloved son Peter.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday (March 26, 2025) at Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc., 33 South Ave. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday (March 27, 2025) at St. Bernard Church with the Rev. John Jacquel, pastor, as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Bernard Cemetery.
