MIDDLETOWN — A Pennsylvania Lottery retailer in Crawford County sold a winning Mega Millions® ticket worth $1 million for Tuesday’s drawing.
The ticket matched all five white balls drawn, 14-19-47-52-70, but not the yellow Mega Ball 6, to win $1 million, less applicable withholding.
Walmart at 16086 Conneaut Lake Road in Meadville will receive a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Winners are not known until prizes are claimed and tickets are validated. Pennsylvania Lottery Mega Millions® winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes. Winning tickets purchased at a Lottery retailer should immediately be signed on the back. Online winnings automatically appear in a player’s account after the claim has been processed. Players may visit palottery.com for more information.
More than 24,100 other PA Lottery Mega Millions® tickets won prizes of various amounts in the drawing, including more than 5,300 tickets purchased with Megaplier®. Players should check every ticket, every time.
The Mega Millions® jackpot rolled to an estimated annuity value of $233 million, or $110.5 million cash, for the next drawing Friday.
Mega Millions® is played in 45 states, Washington, D.C., and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets are available online or by visiting a retailer.
The Lottery also reminds its players that March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, also known as PGAM. There are free and confidential resources available for those who may be suffering from gambling-related harms, including the free and confidential helpline at (800) 426-2537. The Pennsylvania Lottery remains the only state lottery to direct all proceeds to programs that benefit older residents. Since ticket sales began in 1972, it has contributed more than $36.2 billion to fund property tax and rent rebates, transportation, care services, prescription assistance and local services including senior centers and meals. The Pennsylvania Lottery operates as a bureau within the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
