KANE — Kindergarten registration packets for the 2025-26 school year are available now in Kane Area School District.
Packets have been given to area preschools for distribution to parents and guardians. Packets can also be picked up in the elementary office. Completed packets should be returned to Kane Area Elementary School from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday.
During the event, there will be informational sessions for parents and guardians held in the multipurpose room. For children, there will be stories and activities held in the kindergarten pod. Each incoming kindergartener will receive a book to take home.
To be enrolled, a child must be 5 years of age or older on Sept. 1. It is important to bring the student’s birth certificate, immunization records and proof of residency.
Those who cannot attend the registration event can stop by the elementary office on a school day between 8 a.m and 2 p.m. to register their child. Those with questions can call the office at (814) 837-7555.
