The Bradford Women’s Literary Club met Feb. 28 at Hill Memorial Church. President Carol Shannon opened the meeting with a quote from Dr. Seuss. The guest speaker for the day was Bonnie Leposa, Children and Youth Coordinator at the Bradford Library. Bonnie has been the coordinator for the past year. As a lover of children’s programs, she has expanded existing programs and introduced new programs at the library. These include preschool story time, the Book Worm program, Book to Movie Club, Wednesday afternoon Teen Lounge Program, Teen Watch Party, monthly Lego Club, and Community Game Night. Bonnie spoke of upcoming special programs as well, including the summer reading program, the Science Heros program, Bwana Jim, a foam bubble party in August, and a July 31 Harry Potter birthday party. More information on all programs can be found on the library’s website.
President Shannon continued the meeting by reminding members of upcoming activities including Report Day and gathering ideas for next year’s programs. She thanked the Tea Committee for our Mardi Gras themed decorations. Kitchen helpers were also thanked.
Our next meeting is Friday at Hill Memorial Church where our program will be Designer Scarf Tying by Martha Madden.
