Two our senators and representatives, What are you doing? I don’t feel safe in this country anymore.
The military has weakened. Our health care feels like it’s gone off the rails. I feel nervous about flying. I can’t understand why food prices keep going up, gas prices, too.
What’s going to happen to the money I’ve saved for retirement? For that matter, is the money in my checking account safe?
Public education, once the pride of our nation, is treated like the enemy. Universities that challenge each generation with new ideas and opportunities have had their heart cut out.
National parks, the national museums, the JFK Library — are they in danger of closing? Our personal data have been compromised by … who even knows who?
An agency that assures our nuclear safety saw employees axed. Afterwards, the powers-that-be were like, “Whoops! We shouldn’t have done that.” No kidding!
The only people thriving now are the billionaires.
We hope for a better future for our kids. Now I just hope they have the same rights I had.
Our elected officials’ job is to take care of us. Please start doing it. Each day you choose to remain quiet is not just hollowing out this nation, but each community, each family, each individual.
It’s not about politics. We all hate politics. It’s about lives. You’re supposed to be making lives better. That’s your job. If you’ve become a clanging bell without a meaningful voice, please just resign and let someone else actually lead.
