Johnsonburg and Cameron County boys were both successful in playoff action Monday, which was reported after press time.
Johnsonburg 56, DCC 53DUBOIS — Noah Stauffer scored 15 points for Johnsonburg, while Jude Schreiber put up 18 to lead the Rams over DCC in District 9 Class 1A Quarterfinals action Monday.
The Rams powered to a 32-20 lead at the half and held on despite DCC outscoring them in both quarters of the second half. While DCC poured in 19 points to Johnsonburg’s 11 in the third and 14 to their 13 in the fourth quarter, the score still came out in J’burg’s favor for the final.
Leading DCC offensively were Marek Hoyt with 17 points and Luke Fragle with 10.
Johnsonburg advances to take on ECC on Feb. 25, site and time to be determined.
Cameron County 60, Northern Potter 27EMPORIUM — In the night’s other matchup, Cameron County claimed a victory over NoPo.
The Raiders will move on to face Otto-Eldred in the Semi-Finals on Feb. 25, site and time TBD.
