Artist Eric Jones of West Clarksville, N.Y., sculpted the St. Bonaventure mascot from snow, near Worth W. Smith on West State Street in Olean, N.Y. Jones’ next creation will be unveiled this weekend in Springville, N.Y., ahead of the Buffalo Bills game against the Denver Broncos in the NFL playoffs’ Wild Card Round. “Sponsored by Roosa Development, (the sculpture is) a unique tribute to our MVP and the play of the season!” Jones’ Facebook post reads, referring to Bills quarterback Josh Allen. It remains to be seen which scene the sculpture will capture, Allen’s 26-yard touchdown run against Kansas City in the Chiefs’ only loss of the season, or his diving touchdown at the pylon in the snow game against San Francisco. Jones said the sculpture will be his biggest of the season. Comprising more than 500 cubic feet of snow, the tribute will be 12 feet wide and 9 feet tall.
