A Derrick City man will serve at least 15 years in state prison for charges alleging the rape of a child.
On Thursday in McKean County Court, Harold Kagarise, 49, was sentenced to 15 to 30 years in prison, plus three years of supervision, on charges of rape of a child and aggravated indecent assault on a minor.
He was found by the court to be a sexually violent predator, and will have to register his address with state police for the remainder of his life, according to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer.
Kagarise was represented by Warren attorney Alan Conn.
Also on Thursday, Brian Allen, 45, of Kane, was sentenced to 12 to 24 months in state prison, with credit for 238 days of time served, on a charge of dealing in the proceeds of an illegal act. In May, Allen was nabbed by the state attorney general’s office for allegedly being involved in a drug transaction with a confidential informant on Main Street of Bradford, according to the criminal complaint.
Allen was also represented by Conn.
