PORT ALLEGANY – Ryan Shaffer and Landon Farren scored 20 points each as Cameron County rallied for a 63-59 North Tier League win over Port Allegany.
Shaffer knocked down a key 3-pointer in the fourth for the Red Raiders, while Farren also had a pair of buckets, helping them rally from a 54-47 deficit to start the fourth. Koby Shepard also scored four of his six points over the final eight minutes to aid the Cameron County rally.
Jake Narby knocked down three 3-pointers and was also in double figures for the Red Raiders with 11 points.
Port Allegany went on a 23-13 run in the second quarter to take a 36-26 halftime lead. Nick Wilfong led three Gators in double figures with 17 points, while Isac Amell had 16 and Jarrod Funk 11 and 10 rebounds. Wilfong also had five assists and five rebounds (all offensive) and Amell eight rebounds.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 62, SHEFFIELD 29
SHEFFIELD – Wil Wortman led three Elk County Catholic players in double figures with 20 points in a 62-29 win over Sheffield.
Chase Simbeck added 13 points and Marcus Muccio 11 for the Crusaders, who had nine different players score in the win.
Jack Chapman had 13 points to lead Sheffield, while LaShawn Williams added 10.
AUSTIN 67, SMETHPORT 58
AUSTIN – Brayden Stuckey connected for 33 points as Austin beat Smethport, 67-58 in North Tier League action.
Brennan Ognen added 14 points in the win for the Panthers, while Lucas Fowler had 12.
Stuckey’s performance helped the Panthers overcome a fantastic performance from Smethport’s Colin Oklerund, who scored a career-high 31 points. Jack Sherry added 12 tallies for the Hubbers.
COUDERSPORT 66, GALETON 46
GALETON – Freshman Lawson Wetzel had 25 points and seven rebounds to lead Couersport to a 66-46 North Tier League win over Galeton.
Wetzel was one of three Coudersport players in double figures, as Drew VanWhy had 18 points and Mason Roessner 16, who also had four steals and four assists.
Gavin Shutt had 15 points for Galeton.
JOHNSONBURG 52, ST. MARYS 43
JOHNSONBURG – Noah Stauffer scored 17 points, including 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter to help Johnsonburg beat St. Marys, 52-43.
Johnsonburg led 24-14 at halftime and 40-28 after three quarters en route to the win.
Cade Peterson made four 3-pointers and finished with 14 points for the Rams in the win, while Parker Calla also had 14 points.
Ben Paul had 17 points and Devlin Caskey 16 for St. Marys.
CUBA-RUSHFORD (N.Y.) 54, OSWAYO VALLEY 33
SHINGLEHOUSE – Finn Ricketts had 14 points to help Cuba-Rushford (N.Y.) to a 54-33 win over Oswayo Valley.
Ricketts also had six rebounds in the win.
Ridge Mesler had nine points and Luke Karr seven for Oswayo Valley.
