KANE – The Bradford Lady Owls continue to roll.
Haley Keane and Alyssa Johnson combined for 33 points as they earned a 42-37 win over Keystone to win the Kane Holiday Tournament.
Bradford built a 28-14 halftime lead en route to the win and held off a second half comeback attempt by Keystone.
Keane scored 12 of her 17 points in the first half, while Johnson knocked down four 3-pointers.
Keane was named the tournament MVP.
Addison Say and Peyton McElravy had 11 points each for Keystone, while Ashlee Albright added 10.
OTTO-ELDRED 59, JAMESTOWN (N.Y.) 52
ALLEGANY, N.Y. – Freshman Baylee Francis had another strong game with 18 points to go along with four rebounds as Otto-Eldred beat Jamestown (N.Y.), 59-52 in the Joe DeCerbo Holiday Showcase.
Carrie Drummond was also in double figures for the Lady Terrors with 13 points as well as five rebounds and three assists, while Addie Bell and Ayla VanScoter had nine points each.
Rayel Hakes led Otto-Eldred with 12 rebounds and also added eight points.
Anna Engquit had 15 points for Jamestown while Makena Pryce added 14.
KANE 53, NORTH CLARION 42
KANE, Pa. – Freshman Addison Haight had another big game with 28 points as Kane beat North Clarion, 53-42 in the Kane Holiday Tournament consolation game.
Isabella Saf was also in double figures for Kane with 13 points.
Ainsley Hartle had 17 points for North Clarion.
ECC 43, ST. MARYS 35
ST. MARYS – The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders are Elk County Holiday Tournament champions.
Mya Pistner scored 15 points to help lead the Lady Crusaders to the title, 43-35 over St. Marys.
Trailing 11-6 after the first quarter, ECC went on an 18-9 run to take a 24-20 halftime lead and extended that lead to 34-26 after three quarters.
Lena Polaski was also in double figures for ECC with 11 points.
Molly Hanslovan had 14 points for St. Marys.
BOYS
OTTO-ELDRED 77, CUBA-RUSHFORD 46
ALLEGANY, N.Y. – Manning Splain and Landon Francis scored 25 points each as Otto-Eldred beat Cuba-Rushford, 77-46 in the Joe DeCerbo Holiday Classic.
Francis was 11-of-11 from the free throw line and also knocked down four of the Terrors’ nine 3-pointers.
Shene Thomas also had 17 points in the win for O-E.
Carter Brown had 22 points for Cuba-Rushford.
ELK COUNTY CATHOLIC 61, JOHNSONBURG 33
ST. MARYS, Pa. – Chase Simbeck scored 22 points as Elk County Catholic beat Johnsonburg, 61-33 to win the 2024 Elk County Holiday Tournament.
Wil Wortman was also in double figures for the Crusaders with 16 points.
Parker Calla had 13 points for Johnsonburg.
YOUNGSVILLE 55, SMETHPORT 38
SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Rylan Benton scored 25 points to lead Youngsville to a 55-38 win over Smethport in the Sheffield Sports Boosters Christmas Tournament championship game.
Braydin Baker added 12 points and Ethan Beers 11 in the win for the Eagles.
Colin Okerlund had 24 points for Smethport and scored 48 points over the 2-day tournament.
KANE 59, SHEFFIELD 29
SHEFFIELD, Pa. – Preston Darr scored 15 points as Kane beat Sheffield, 59-29 in the Sheffield Sports Booster Christmas Tournament consolation game.
Brock Wensel added 12 points for Kane, which had 10 different players score in the win.
