AUSTIN — Otto Eldred traveled to Austin and beat the Panthers 37-30.

Freshman Baylee Francis led the Terrors with 13 points while Ayla Van Scoter scored 9 points. For Austin, Lilly Clinger was the game’s leading scorer with 15 points and 5 steals and Isabella Rees grabbed her 500th career rebound with 14 rebounds on the night.

Otto-Eldred improves to 4-1 on the season and won’t play again until Saturday, Dec. 28 against Jamestown. Austin will next play on Friday, Jan. 3 at Smethport at 6 p.m.

SMETHPORT 38, GALETON 22

GALETON — Smethport defeated Galeton 38-22 with a career high scoring performance from sophomore Madeyn McKean.

McKean scored 19 of her team’s 38 points and also had 10 steals, Payton Neff added 8 points for the Hubbers. Galeton’s leading scorer was freshman Ella Stahley with 9 points.

Smethport will next play on Monday at home against Cameron County at 6 p.m. Galeton hopes to find a win after Christmas on Dec. 27 when they play Canton.
