The United Way of the Bradford Area (UWBA) is making a final call to action as it enters the last few weeks of its “Back to the Community” fundraising campaign.
With just under 18 days remaining, the organization is urging the community to unite and contribute to creating a positive impact on the region.
The campaign, themed “Back to the Community,” emphasizes the collective goal of giving back locally while working toward a better community. Funds raised during this campaign are crucial for supporting local initiatives that address education, health and financial stability. During 2024, 37 local programs were supported by the UWBA.
“We believe in the power of unity to build a better community for all,” said Sarah Lonzi, executive director for the United Way of the Bradford Area. “As we approach the final weeks, we encourage everyone to be a part of this effort and contribute to the well-being of our community.”
UWBA will continue solicitation efforts through Dec. 31 and will then use January to make follow-ups and conclude the campaign.
Contributions to the campaign can be made through one-time donations, monthly pledges or workplace giving programs, if applicable. To donate or for more information, visit the United Way at 161 Main St., email sarah.lonzi@uwbanews.org or call (814) 368-6181. Donations can also be made by texting UWBA2024 to 53-555.
Lonzi said the Campaign Team, Staff and Board of the Directors of the United Way of the Bradford Area Inc. are proud of the work that has been done. “We are grateful for the support we’ve received thus far and believe that together, we can continue to make a lasting difference in Bradford.”
The current standing of each campaign is as follows; Bradford 49%, Smethport 43% and Port Allegany 26%.
“There is still much work to be done,” Lonzi said. “Please help your community reach their goal to ensure our partner agencies will be able to continue their tremendous work in the coming year.”
The United Way of the Bradford Area is committed to improving lives and building a stronger community. Through strategic partnerships and impactful programs, the organization addresses critical local issues, fostering positive, lasting change.
