A slate of wages for city workers was approved on first reading at the Bradford City Council meeting Tuesday evening.
They must be approved a second time before becoming official, at council’s Dec. 30 meeting, and may change before then.
For city administrator Eric Taylor, he will see a raise of $4,655.57 to $106,944.10 for the coming year. Human resources director Valerie Figula will earn $46,064.78; Laura Hilyer, fiscal assistant and payroll clerk, will earn $45,458; Jill Howard, refuse billing, will earn $43,074.95; while two administrative assistants earn $42,395.95 and $39,458, and the permit and zoning secretary will earn $39,198.
In the treasurer’s office, Karen Hector, city treasurer, will earn $63,976.30, an increase of $789.82. Two clerks in the office will earn $33,328 and $33,198.
Fire chief Brett Butler will earn $81,311.44, while three captains will earn between $72,891.72 and $72,081.72. Three lieutenants will earn from $72,541.72 to $70,101.72. Eight firefighters/ paramedics will earn from $69,331.72 to $46,580.89, while five firefighters/EMTs will earn from $65,881.72 to $43,602.50.
Three temporary firefighter employee salaries were approved on first reading at $15.76 per hour, while one part-time firefighter/paramedic was approved at $16.66 per hour. Nine positions for part-time firefighters were approved at $14.97 per hour.
In the police department, Chief Mike Ward will earn $82,306.62, an increase of $2,329.44 over his current pay. One sergeant, a school resource officer, will earn $78,969.67, while the other will earn $75,149.67. One lieutenant will earn $76,839.67. The remaining officers will earn from $74,824.67 to $48,126.16. The parking enforcement officer will earn $17.03 an hour.
In the refuse division, the CDL/foreman will earn $26.27 an hour and an assistant foreman will earn $24.46 an hour, while six refuse collectors earn from $23.91 to $17.22 an hour.
In the streets division, the director, Pat Shannon, will earn $77,136.24, while nine other employees will earn between $25.21 and $17.15 an hour.
Electrician Dan Tyger will earn $52,746.83, an increase of $1,286.51 over his current salary.
In the parks department, director Pat Goff will earn $68,449.44, while full-time employees will earn $25.63 and $23.60 an hour.
For the property maintenance department, three officers will earn from $44,049.38 to $40,000.
In the Office of Economic and Community Development, now-deputy director Karen Costello-Pecht will make $85,000 as executive director; Elaina Lucco will earn $60,000 as economic community development coordinator, and three workers will earn from $58,500 to $40,000.
