TOPS 16 held its weekly meeting Wednesday.
Members recited the TOPS pledge and sang “It’s a TOPS World.”
Co-leader Jeanne Lowe and Jesse Skillman weighed in 14 members; three members were excused. There was a 9.4 pound loss.The best loser in waiting was Christine McCracken. Officer of the week was Virginia.
The fruit to try is pineapple and the veggie is onion. The food to avoid is potato chips and the nickelodeon was fried foods. Nan Stoling won the food chart. Virginia won the birthday gift.
Nan Stoling gave the secretary’s report. A smile was read by Jessie Skillman, joke by Jeanne Lowe and Elaine Harris. Christine McCracken gave a household tip and Elaine Harris gave an inspiration.
The bingo game will start at the beginning of the new year. On Nov. 27, Dec. 24 and Jan. 31 there will be a weigh-in only from 10 to 11 a.m. A challenge for members was given to stay the same or lose weight between Thanksgiving and New Year.
Members held a make it/bake it sale.
The meeting was closed with the friendship circle and members reciting the TOPS prayer.
TOPS Club meets every Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall at First Presbyterian Church. Weigh-ins start at 11:30 and the meeting starts at 1 p.m. All are welcome.
