WASHINGTON, D.C. — St. Bonaventure senior guard Chance Moore capped a standout first week in a Bonnies uniform by earning Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors, conference officials announced Monday afternoon.
Moore helped key a pair of Bonnies victories to begin the new season, averaging 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds while shooting nearly 58 percent from the floor.
At Canisius Saturday, Moore delivered 27 points on 9-of-13 shooting while adding six rebounds, three blocks and two steals. He scored 17 of his points in the second half and recorded a key block down the stretch to thwart a Canisius rally effort.
In the season-opener last Monday vs. CSUN, he registered a game-high 18 points along with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals. The Georgia native went 15-26 overall from the field and 12-15 at the foul line.
The Bonnies are back in action Wednesday at Florida Gulf Coast before returning home to the Reilly Center to host Le Moyne Saturday.
