KANE — The Kane Area Chamber of Commerce is coordinating horse and carriage rides around Evergreen Park this holiday season and first come, first served reservations open Nov. 16.
Here is what to expect Nov. 16:
Reservations will be taken in person from 10 a.m. to noon at the Kane Area Chamber of Commerce Office, 63 N. Fraley St., Suite 101
It will be first come, first served.
Payment of $20 must be made in full at the time of reservation. Accepted are cash, checks made to the Chamber of Commerce, or credit cards with a 5% service fee.
Only one carriage reservation may be made per person.
Each carriage holds as many as six people. Your carriage reservation will only be the people you invite to ride with you.
Have several times you would be willing to reserve ready. Reservations will be spaced out almost every 5 minutes among three carriages operating between 4:30 and 8:10 p.m. Dec. 13 and 20.
No phone calls will be accepted that evening unless there is no one in line.
Do not leave a voice message regarding the carriage rides. It will not be given priority.
If there are still reservations available after Nov. 16, call or stop in the Kane Chamber office during regular business hours to reserve a time.
Horses and carriages are coming from Misty Lane Farms Performance Horses in Brookville. Loading and unloading of carriages will be in the Chestnut Street Center’s lower parking lot.
This year’s horse and carriage rides are sponsored by Bradford Regional Airport, Collins, Custom Built Manufacturing, Dyne Excavating, Embroidery Express, Rich Gas, RWF Excavating and Zook Motors.
