McKean County commissioners, in conjunction with the McKean County Department of Emergency Services (DES), announced an outdoor burning advisory warning for all of McKean County, effective immediately. This advisory is necessary, commissioners said, due to extremely dry conditions.

“We ask everyone’s cooperation to prevent any fires like those that have happened throughout Pennsylvania (Northampton County) resulting in devastating fires and loss of 150 plus acres of forest,” commissioners said in a press release.
