PORT ALLEGANY — Carrie Drummond helped lead Otto-Eldred to a North Tier League Volleyball Championship this fall, and the awards are already starting to roll in.
Drummond, a senior, was voted the NTL Most Valuable Player, announced on Wednesday.
It was part of a terrific senior season for the Lady Terrors, who joined the 1,000-1,000 club, notching both her 1,000th career kill and 1,000th career dig during the 2024 campaign.
She is joined as an all-star by teammate Emma Button, a sophomore, who also reached a milestone with her 500th assist.
The only team to beat Otto-Eldred in NTL play this season was Port Allegany, and the Lady Gators’ Ella Moses and Isla Lehmier joined them on the team as well. Moses, a senior hitter, helped key a strong Port Allegany attack this year, which was directed by Lehmier, a junior setter who notched her 1,000th career assist earlier in the season.
Coudersport actually led the win with three all-star selections — Emilee Atherhold, Emilee Ruter and Olivia Fink.
Also earning all-star honors were Oswayo Valley’s Makenna Manning and Eva West and Austin’s Isabella Rees. Both Manning and West are seniors and have been key cogs in the OV attack for several years, including helping lead the Green Waves to a District 9 title and a berth in the PIAA semifinals in 2022. Rees, meanwhile, has also been a fixture for Austin, and this season helped lead the Panthers to a signature win over Coudersport, their first win over the Falcons since 2005.
Otto-Eldred’s Dan Drummond earned Coach of the Year honors.
