BROCKWAY — St. Marys got two goals each from Avery Eckels and Ana Buck to capture the District 9 Class 2A girls soccer championship, 5-1 over Redbank Valley.
Lucy Hayes actually got the scoring going for St. Marys on a penalty kick 18 minutes into the game.
St. Marys led 4-1 at halftime as Eckels scored both her goals and Buck had one, with an assist from Hayes, .
Lia Hageter also scored in the first half for Redbank Valley.
Lili McKay had 14 stops in net for St. Marys.
“She did an excellent job coming out and defending the net on Redbank’s breakaways,” said St. Marys coach Sam Gearhart.
The Lady Dutch will play in a subregional game against the District 5 champion on Thursday in Brookville at 6 p.m.

BROCKWAY — Caleb Keiper’s overtime goal gave St. Marys the District 9 Class 2A soccer title with a 1-0 win over Brookville.
The Dutchmen advance to play the District 5 champion in subregional play, with the winner advancing to the first round of the PIAA championships.
