EMPORIUM — Sizerville State Park still has a couple of environmental education programs on tap before the season wraps up.
At 6:30 p.m. Saturday, join experienced bird banders David and Fay Hauber as they attempt to band northern saw-whet owls.
A short introduction on owls will be followed by instructions on what to do and expect during the demonstration. Wear sturdy shoes for walking on trails, and feel free to bring a water bottle, flashlights and clothing layers.
Registration is not required but recommended; do so by Friday for materials considerations.
Sizerville’s Spooktacular Skele-bration is set for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 31 at the Environmental Learning Center.
Join the park educator for a night filled with spooky fun and games. Some of the topics for this program may include owls, spiders, bats and ghosts. There will also be a pumpkin-themed game and crafts to make. Costumes are encouraged.
