HARRISBURG — The joint Disaster Recovery Center located in Potter County will permanently close at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Residents who continue to need the services available can visit a DRC in Tioga County at Valley Christian Church, 146 Maple St., Westfield; or in Lycoming County at Hepburn Volunteer Fire Company, 615 E. Route 973 Highway, Cogan Station.
These centers are usually open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday.
Individuals and households impacted by Tropical Storm Debby from Aug. 9 and 10 in Lycoming, Potter, Tioga and Union counties can visit any DRC to receive help and information.
Disaster survivors who have not yet applied for FEMA assistance can apply at a Disaster Recovery Center, apply online at DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA App on your phone, or call (800) 621-3362.
The deadline for applying to FEMA for disaster assistance is Nov. 12.
You can visit a DRC for help with other parts of the disaster recovery process. If you received a letter from FEMA about your application status, visit a DRC to learn more about next steps. DRC staff can help you submit additional information or supporting documentation for FEMA to continue to process your application. At a DRC you can also meet with representatives from Commonwealth of Pennsylvania agencies and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).
