Wyatt Hungiville had a big game as Smethport beat Cameron County 30-0 in junior high football action.
Hungiville was 3-of-3 passing for 53 yards and two touchdowns and also had a 2-point conversion pass to Landon Cooney and ran in two 2-point conversions.
Lucas Himes rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns for the Hubbers, while Andrew Benson had two receptions for 53 yards and two touchdowns.
For Cameron County, Kolby Ostrum had 11 carries for 64 yards and was 3-of-6 passing for 61 yards.
Smethport hosts Coudersport next week.
FRETZ 21, KANE 14
Fretz defeated Kane 21-14 to improve to 2-1 Thursday night. Quarterback Brady Rosendahl threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns to lead the winning effort.
Max Gow started off the game with a 75-yard kickoff return for a touchdown. Rosendahl and receiver Jaron Lohrman connected for two passing scores. One was from 16 yards out and another from 69 yards. Fretz went into halftime leading 21-0.
Kane got within a touchdown of tying the game in the second half. Fretz hung on though for the 21-14 win. Up next for Fretz will be Otto-Eldred at home on Thursday.
