A fun night of fashion will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 3 at the Bradford Club during the Girl’s Night Out: Fall Fashion Show, a partnership between Small Town Girl Boutique and the Bradford Area Public Library.
“We are partnering with the Bradford Area Public Library to deliver an evening of fun, food and fashion to area women,” said Kristina Luzzi, co-owner of Small Town Girl Boutique.
“The Bradford Area Public Library is an important resource for many people in this area of all ages, across all economic situations,” said Stephanie Weinberg, co-owner of the boutique.
Luzzi and Weinberg have been busy curating an exclusive lineup of 15 outfits complete with accessories to debut during the show.
“We will truly have something for everyone during this event that will appeal to a variety of tastes,” said Weinberg.
The pair have recruited area women of all ages and sizes to model for the big show.
“This will help women visualize how our fashions can complement anyone,” Luzzi said, adding that autumn is a popular time to update one’s wardrobe.
“It’s the season of transformation, not just for the weather but also your style,” Luzzi said. “As temperatures drop, your wardrobe needs to shift to cozy, versatile pieces that still make you feel stylish and confident.”
Immediately following the show, the pair will host a pop-up sale. Ten percent of the proceeds from these sales will be donated to the Bradford Area Public Library.
The pop-up sale will allow people to try on clothing and leave with a new outfit and all the accessories, knowing that they have helped a good cause.
“My favorite pieces for fall include a quality plaid shacket that feels cozy and comfortable and looks great for casual wear,” said Weinberg.
Weinberg also recommends picking up a great fitted blazer in a classic fabric like tweed or wool blend, and a new pair of jeans.
One of Luzzi’s favorite parts of fall fashion is the ability to layer.
“Some of my go-to pieces are an oversized cardigan and definitely hats,” said Luzzi.
New trends come with the changing of the seasons. Some of the hot pieces right now are double-breasted tweed blazers, wide leg and boot cut jeans and lots of plaids, Weinberg said.
“The floral print trend from the past few years is continuing in fall floral blouses and dresses,” said Luzzi.
“Finally, we are seeing a lot of cardigans this year and you can get them in a variety of colors, knit types, styles, lengths and in light, medium or heavy fabrics,” said Weinberg.
Attendees will enjoy food, signature drinks and a cash bar. There will also be a raffle featuring a variety of baskets donated from area businesses. Guests can preview the outfits and raffle baskets before the show begins at 6:45 p.m. Raffle winners will be announced at the end of the evening.
Tickets for the event are $30 per person. Only a limited number of tickets will be sold. Tickets can be purchased on the library’s Event Calendar under the News and Events tab at bradfordlibrary.org. Doors will open at 6 o’clock and any remaining tickets will be available at the door.
“To add more excitement to what will be a memorable event, we have planned an additional ‘feature’ to this library fundraiser,” said Weinberg.
The event will run from Oct. 4 to 5. To learn more about this additional facet, visit Small Town Girl Boutique on social media platforms during the event.
