THE MOUNT JEWETT TO KINZUA BRIDGE (MJ2KB) TRAIL CLUB will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson Building, 48 W. Main St. in Mount Jewett.
The Swedish Festival went well; we sold a lot of Ebike tickets, several of our new hats, many t-shirts and a lot of miscellaneous items to help raise funds for the trail club, as well as a few memberships. All funds go toward maintenance on the MJ2KB section of the Knox & Kane Rail Trail and the support is greatly appreciated.
The club will set up near the Skywalk during the Kinzua Bridge State Park Foundation’s Fall Festival Sept. 21, with an opportunity to buy hats, t-shirts, koozies and ebike raffle tickets for a Trek Electra Cruiser Go, step-through, sponsored by Just Riding Along Bike Shop in Bradford.
Volunteers are needed to help out at the Fall Festival.
A reminder, the Kinzua Bridge State Park’s Skywalk will be closed beginning Nov. 1 until next August. The park and visitor center will remain open. The end of the trail will be re-routed to the so users can still hike or bike into the park.
