Frances Sherman VFW Auxiliary and VFW Post 212 will partner with Papa Scoops to promote patriotism from 6 to 8 p.m. Aug. 22 at Papa Scoops, 58 W. Washington St.
Students 12 and younger, accompanied by an adult, are invited to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. They can recite it alone or with a group.
Each child who recites the Pledge of Allegiance will receive a certificate, a gift bag and a complimentary ice cream cone. One cone per child, during the event only.
