EMPORIUM — Sizerville State Park will hold environmental education programs this weekend.
From 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday will be a program on awesome amphibians at the Environmental Learning Center. There will be information on frogs, salamanders, toads, and newts. The short talk will be followed by exploring the park to try and find some of these cool critters.
From 8 to 9:30 p.m. will be a Film in the Forest: River Otters and Fishers at the Campground Amphitheater. A short talk on the river otter and the reintroduction of fishers in Pennsylvania will be the main topic of the program. Mounts, pelts, and skulls will be available to see, along with a river otter movie presentation — feel free to bring snacks and a blanket.
In case of thunder, lightning, or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or canceled.
