EMPORIUM — Sizerville State Park will offer several environmental education programs for upcoming weekend.
Reptile Rally, set 3 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Environmental Learning Center, will provide a general overview of snakes, lizards, skinks and turtles. Afterward, the group will go on a hunt for the critters with the park educator.
Saturday evening’s Film in the Forest, 8 to 9:30 p.m. at the Campground Amphitheater, will feature black bears. Did you know that a black bear’s sense of smell is 100 times greater than a human’s? Bring snacks and a blanket.
In case of storms or extreme weather conditions programs may be moved or canceled. To request an accommodation, contact the park office at (814) 486-5605. For more information about Sizerville State Park, contact the Environmental Learning Center at (814) 486-5609.
