North Central Workforce Development Board (Workforce Solutions for North Central PA) representatives want all recent graduates and students impacted by the closure of Triangle Tech’s Dubois Campus to know about options available in the area.
The DuBois campus is part of the local workforce development area, serving the counties of Cameron, Clearfield, Elk, Jefferson, McKean and Potter.
For students who were scheduled to start classes this summer or fall North Central has partnerships with many regional training providers such as Jeff Tech (Jefferson County, DuBois Area Vocational-Technical School) and Clearfield County Career and Technology Center (CCCTC) as well as trade unions and employers. Along with the PA CareerLink® centers, North Central offers training opportunities, possible financial assistance, career planning and/or assistance with job placement.
For recent graduates or students soon to graduate, North Central can assist with job placement through PA CareerLink® centers by providing job readiness training, help with resumes, possibly even subsidized employment with a local employer through on-the-job training or paid work experience, in addition to other services.
Students attending or scheduled to start classes at Triangle Tech, Dubois Campus, whose plans were interrupted by this unexpected event can contact Workforce Solutions at (814) 245-1835 for more information.
