Two fun events are scheduled for July at the Hamlin Memorial Library in Smethport.
The Hamlin Library Duck Race will be held at 2:30 p.m. on July 21. Tickets for this event are $10 a piece. First place winner will receive $500; second place gets $250; third place will receive $100 and fourth place will get $50. The duck race will be followed by an ice cream social at 3 p.m. featuring music by the Twin Tiers Community Band.
Hamlin Memorial Library
On July 8th at 7 p.m. the library will host a craft night. Guests will follow the guided instructions and upcycle a used book into their very own book hedgehog. All ages are welcome, but younger children may need the help of an adult for this craft. Snacks will be provided. Registration is required for this event.
