Two students were announced as the 2024 winners of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles 2432 Scholarship. They were Carlee Jacoby and Candence Stiles.
Jacoby attends Allegany-Limestone High School where she will graduate in late June. She has participated in Chorus Club, Ski Club and the Juniors v.s. Seniors Powderpuff Flag Football Game that was held in May.
She also attends Allegany-Cattaraugus Boces Votech School in Olean, where she has studied Medical Assisting for the past two years. This April, she was given the opportunity to job shadow through the Boces program at Olean General Hospital in the ICU, Emergency room and Radiology.
She has volunteered for fundraising events for Limestone Volunteer Fire Department and helped with the ELF Fund.
She is currently employed through the Allegany Rec Center After School Program, in Allegany, NY, where she helps to oversee the elementary-aged children. She has also worked for the summer program through the Allegany-Limestone High School as a painter.
Cadence Stiles of Bradford was involved in many sports including the Girls’ Basketball Team, Girls’ Golf Team, Volleyball and Skiing.
She is also involved in Volunteer Club, National Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, Skills USA and the Envirothon competition.
Stiles has also volunteered for many organizations over the years, including the SPCA of Bradford, the Church of Ascension, the Bradford Regional Medical Center and Bradford High School.
