RIDGWAY – The North Central Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission (North Central) announces a new in-person training course focusing on local asphalt road maintenance issues through PennDOT’s Local Technical Assistance Program
Asphalt Roads Common Maintenance Problems will be hosted by Emporium Borough from 8 a.m. to noon June 13. The meeting will be held in the firehall in the borough’s complex located at 419 N. Broad St., Emporium.
This course provides relevant information to individuals who must maintain asphalt pavements. A review of the latest treatments included in PennDOT Publication 447 Approved Products for Lower Volume Local Roads will be covered.
The training is intended for individuals who are involved in the planning and execution of maintenance work on asphalt pavements, including street superintendents, roadmasters, public works directors, foremen and crew members. Attendees of the course can receive Roads Scholars credits.
