BROOKVILLE — District 9 released its baseball and softball playoff brackets, with plenty of local teams in the field.
Looking at baseball, Elk County Catholic and Cameron County are in the Class 1A field, as are Coudersport, Port Allegany, Johnsonburg and Kane in Class 2A and Bradford in Class 4A.
On the softball side, Elk County Catholic, Northern Potter, Otto-Eldered and Oswayo Valley are in the Class 1A bracket, as is Kane in Class 2A and Bradford in Class 4A.
All of the championship games, with the exception of Class 4A baseball, will be played on Memorial Day, Monday, May 27, with baseball at Showers Field in DuBois and softball at Heindl Field in DuBois.
