Suppose you are looking for a meal that not only will taste good but also help the community. The Bradford Family YMCA has just the thing – its Spaghetti Dinner, Art Show and Basket Bonanza fundraiser.
From 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Grace Lutheran Church, 79 Mechanic St., you can enjoy an evening of community fun, basket raffles, art and, of course, spaghetti.
The artists behind the masterpieces to be seen at dinner belong to children involved in YMCA programs such as Bradford Child Care and 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) programs, Smethport 21st Century CLC, and Oswayo Valley Child Care. Kids in each program expressed their artistic creativity in various ways, creating many different pieces and projects for the event.
More than 50 baskets will be raffled, each with different gifts and prizes for the lucky winners to enjoy. Some themes include Family Game Night, LEGO Lovers, Spa Time, Crafters’ Delight, Mechanic’s Dream, lottery tickets (must be 21 to win) and art supplies. Tickets for a 50/50 raffle can be purchased at the event.
Kira Schine, the Y’s executive director of PA Child Care, said, “The dedication of our YMCA Program students in crafting their artwork, coupled with the overwhelming generosity of our community in donating baskets, has been truly remarkable. In a climate where childcare centers statewide face challenges, events like this are crucial. They provide vital support, ensuring we can sustain our efforts in providing financial assistance to families in need.”
Dinner tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 at the Bradford Family YMCA, or $15 at the event.
Proceeds benefit the Bradford YMCA Annual Campaign, which plays a vital role in supporting families in the community. Raffle tickets can also be purchased online and designated for the basket of your choice.
