KANE — Lexi Mulcahy had five RBIs to help power Kane to a 23-8, 3-inning win over Smethport.
Mulcahy was 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles, and one was of a number of Lady Wolves’ standouts at the plate.
Kylie Iak was 3-for-3 with three runs, a double and two RBIs, while Maya Smith was 2-for-2 with a triple, four RBIs and four runs, Cadence Carlson-Maybury 2-for-3 with three RBIs and three runs, Macy Bell 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs and Sara Ely 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Smith got the win, allowing eight runs in three innings on four hits, striking out five and walking two.
Elizabeth Hungiville was 1-for-2 with a double and two runs for Smethport, while Julie Dinch was 1-for-2 and scored a pair of runs.
Tylar Colley took the loss, striking out two and walking 15, allowing 13 hits.
Kane returns to action at home on Monday when they host Elk County Catholic.
Williamson 1, Northern Potter 0TIOGA — In a classic pitcher’s duel Kenna Thomas scampered home with the game-winning run on a steal of home with two outs, as Williamson beat Northern Potter, 1-0.
Northern Potter’s Jaylyn Williammee was throwing a no-hitter until Thomas’ single to start the seventh.
Williammee allowed just the one hit, struck out 14 and walked three.
Thomas, meanwhile, allowed just three hits, struck out 18 and walked one.

BASEBALL Elk County Catholic 5, Brockway 3ST. MARYS — Tom Gilmore drove in a pair of runs as Elk County Catholic beat Brockway in a rain-shortened game, 5-3 in five innings.
Gilmore and Shawn Geci, the 8-9 hitters in the ECC lineup, combined for three runs batted in, as Geci was 1-for-2 with an RBI.
Lance O’Neil was 1-for-2 with an RBI for the Crusaders, while Charlie Geci was 2-for-2 with a double.
Colby Nussbaum got the win, going five innings and allowing three unearned runs on three hits, striking out one and walking two.
Erik Lindemuth was 1-for-2 with two RBIs for Brockway.
Dylan Bash took the loss, allowing five runs (three earned) in four innings on six hits, striking out four without issuing a walk.
