ST. BONAVENTURE, N.Y. – Bonnies head coach Mark Schmidt has announced the signing of 6-foot-6 guard Chance Moore to join the program for the 2024-25 season as Bonaventure’s recruiting class continues to grow.
“Chance is a long, athletic scoring wing. He can shoot the ball from three and is a really good offensive rebounder,” Schmidt said. “Chance has been a very productive player at a good level for the last couple years. He is ready to make an immediate impact for us in the fall. Chance fits our up and down style well. We can’t wait to get him in a Bonnies uniform.”
Moore comes to Bonaventure from Missouri State where he started 20 of 31 games last year, averaging 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds in nearly 27 minutes per contest.
In his first year at Missouri State in 2022-23, he was one of the top Missouri Valley reserves as he was named to the MVC All-Bench Team after recording over 10 points per game, scoring in double figures 17 times while ranking 11th in the league in blocks per game as MSU’s sixth man.
He began his collegiate career as an Arkansas recruit in the SEC where he played five games for the Razorbacks in 2021-22 as the only freshman in Arkansas’ recruiting class that year for an Elite Eight squad.
Out of high school, he was a four-star recruit for McEachern High in Powder Springs, Ga. where he averaged over 23 points and nine rebounds as a senior to earn Atlanta Journal-Constitution 7A All-State second team honors in 2021. His squad went 28-5 and finished top four in the state in his senior season.
He was considered the No. 97 overall recruit in the 2021 class according to 247Sports and the No. 24 shooting guard. ESPN ranked him as the No. 4 overall prospect in Georgia. Moore was a finalist for the Sports Illustrated All-American and McDonald’s All-America squads.
Moore joins fellow transfers Jonah Hinton, Lajae Jones and Dasonte Bowen to sign with the Bonnies over the past week.
