COUDERSPORT — Hosting the annual Potter County Meet, the Coudersport boys and girls track and field team swept the three-team field of competition. The boys scored 89, while Northern Potter had 46 and Oswayo Valley 24, while the girls finished with 97 points, beating OV at 59 and NoPo at 11.
Four Falcons earned first place finishes on the day, including both the Sherry brothers. On the track, Kevin Sherry took gold in the 800 and 1,600 meter dash, while Parker Sherry earned wins in the field, doubling in the high jump and javelin. Bryce Manns won the triple jump and 110 hurdles, while Sam Ayers won in the discus and shot put. For the Lady Falcons, Macie Popchak had multiple wins in the 100 and 400 meter dash while Sierra Myers won in the discus and javelin.
The Green Wave also had multiple event-winning athletes, both coming from the girls team. Eva West swept the hurdles, doubling in the 100 and 300 hurdles, while Brooke George won in the long jump and high jump.
Along with winning all three boys’ relay events, Northern Potter had Noah Sherman lead the pack, doubling in the 200 and 400 meter dash.
