ULYSSES — For the second game in a row, the Northern Potter softball team has taken down a North Allegany League opponent in dominating fashion, this time defeating Smethport 12-0 behind Jaylyn Williammee’s no hitter.
A day before meeting the Lady Hubbers, NoPo traveled to face Oswayo Valley, a contest which ended in the Lady Panthers’ favor 16-1. While Williamee didn’t take to the circle in that game, she came in fresh against Smethport. Through 19 batters, she sent 13 back to the dugout swinging at air while only giving up three walks.
At the plate, the Lady Panthers garnered a 1-0 lead in the first frame before exploding for nine runs in the second. NoPo loaded the bases with two walks and a single before Haylee Chapman drove in a run with a sac-fly. After a subsequent walk, the Lady Panthers drove in eight consecutive runs, including a grand slam from Taylor Knowles that put them up 10-0. The final two scores of the day came in the bottom of the fourth, where Chapman and Izzy Prince each hit RBI singles.
Knowles home run came during her only appearance in the batter’s box, going 1-for-1 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Chapman went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI and Williamee went 1-for-2, crossing home plate twice.

Through seven innings, Bash gave up just five hits while striking out eight, keeping Kane at bay as they struggled to pick up baserunners. At the plate, the Rovers put themselves in front early with a score on a Kane error and then sealed it with two more in the third and one in the fifth. The Wolves’ only score of the day came from a Rover error that allowed Dane Anderson to round home plate.
