GALETON — Fine Wine & Good Spirits (FW&GS) at 15 West St. will temporarily close beginning at 6 p.m. Saturday to accommodate renovations.

The Galeton location is expected to reopen after approximately two weeks. Meanwhile, customers can shop for wines, spirits and accessories at these FW&GS locations:

126 W. Main St., Westfield

16 Crafton St., Wellsboro

66 W. Mill St., Port Allegany

The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board, which regulates distribution of beverage alcohol in the commonwealth, operates about 600 wine and spirits stores statewide, and licenses 20,000 alcohol producers, retailers and handlers. Taxes and store profits – totaling nearly $21.8 billion since the agency’s inception – are returned to Pennsylvania’s General Fund, which finances Pennsylvania’s schools, health and human services programs, law enforcement and public safety initiatives, among other important public services.
