EMPORIUM — Book enthusiasts can join the Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library on its Virtual Author Talk Series, engaging with favorite authors in dynamic virtual sessions.
Ask questions directly to authors and view in person at the library, or access on-demand recorded talks from authors like Rebecca Serle, Stephanie Land, actor John Stamos, Ruth Ware, Cassandra Clare, William Kent Krueger and more.
Coming up at 8 p.m. Wednesday is Xochitl Gonzalez with “Anita de Monte Laughs Last,” a propulsive, witty examination of power, love and art, daring to ask who gets to be remembered and who is left behind in the rarefied world of the elite.
Pending sufficient demand, the library may host additional talks during May, including Douglas Brunt and “The Mysterious Case of Rudolf Diesel” at 3 p.m. May 1, Nina Simon and “The Mother-Daughter Murder Club” at 7 p.m. May 8, Rebecca F. Kuang with “Yellowface” at 7 p.m. May 21.
The series is made possible through financial support from the Friends of the Cameron County Public Library/Barbara Moscato Brown Memorial Library. For event details, visit https://libraryc.org/barbaramoscatobrownlibrary.
