SHINGLEHOUSE — Traveling to face the Green Wave, the Northern Potter track and field teams found split results, with the NoPo boys beating Oswayo Valley 76-57 and the girls falling 58-28.
Noah Sherman headlined the Panthers with three first place finishes, taking gold in the 100, 200 and 400 meter dash. Nolen Smith and Malachai Lewis also doubled on the day, with Smith winning the high jump and 300 hurdles and Lewis taking wins in the javelin and shot put. For the Green Wave, Lachlan Tabachek doubled in the triple jump and long jump while teammate Andrew Coriaty impressed in the 3,200 meter dash and the 1,600 meter dash, claiming the top spots in both.
For the girls, both OV and NoPo had a single athlete double. The Lady Green Wave’s Kaylnn George took first place finishes in the 100 and 800 meter dash while the Lady Panthers’ Harley Thompson won the javelin and 1,600 meter dash.

Smethport boys, Cameron County girls pick up two wins eachDUKE CENTER — The Cameron County girls and Smethport boys picked up a a pair of track and field wins.
For the boys Smethport’s Dominic Dudley won the 110 and 300 hurdles, and the Hubbers won two of the three relays.The Hubbers also had four other athletes win one event each. For Otto-Eldred, Shene Thomas was a triple winner in the long triple and high jumps.
Tabitha Connolly and Aubrey Lorenzo led the way for the Lady Red Raiders, each coming away with three first-place finishes. Connolly took first in the 100 and 200 meter dash while also claiming first in the 100 hurdles. Clark won the 300 hurdles as well as both the long and high jump. Teammate Clara Clark doubled in the 800 meter dash and 1,600 meter dash.
Smethport’s Isabella Learn doubled, taking gold in the discus and shot put.
