VFW Post 212 and its Frances Sherman VFWA have announced their yearly scholarship program.

Entries are due by May 1 of the high school graduation year.

Entrants are required to be a graduating 2024 high school senior accepted into a college, university or technical school. Applicants must be next of kin to a Post, Auxiliary or Social member in good standing.

Entrants must complete an audio, visual or written essay with a patriotic theme of their choice. The essay must be a 300-word presentation.

The Post/Auxiliary raises funds for the scholarship at its yearly golf tournament. The Scholarship Committee chose two known and loved members to honor their scholarship after, Reba Y. Maben and William ‘Mr. Bill’ Runyan.

Applications can be found at VFW Post 212 or can be emailed to an entrant (contact Amy Peterson). All rules must be adhered to and in hand by May 1.
