BOBBLE: An officially licensed Penn State Nittany Lions Wrestling National Championship Bobblehead has been unveiled by the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum.
Phil Sklar, co-founder and CEO, said that on March 23, Penn State captured the school’s 12th Wrestling National Championship and 11th since 2011, and this marks the first wrestling bobblehead of the Nittany Lion.
The limited edition, numbered bobblehead features the Nittany Lion wearing a Penn State wrestling singlet while standing on the 2024 National Championship logo.
The officially licensed bobbleheads, which are expected to ship in September, will be available at https://store.bobbleheadhall.com/
“We’re excited to be unveiling this bobblehead celebrating Penn State’s title, which is the 11th national championship under head coach Cael Sanderson since 2011 and 12th overall — a true dynasty that Penn State fans can be very proud of,” Phil said.
We encourage people to visit this site, if you can’t make it to the Wisconsin museum itself. The array of bobbleheads is amazing. From sportsmen to mascots, political figures to entertainment figures, one might find the ubiquitous image of Bernie Sanders in his mittens at Biden’s inauguration, the unusual orange mop-like mascot known as Gritty for the Philadelphia Flyers, Sen. John Fetterman, the characters from Home Alone, Dr. Fauci, The Golden Girls, the Harlem Globetrotters, Supreme Court Justices, and all kinds of sports mascots and figures.
College teams are well represented, as are specific professional sports figures.
There’s even a set of 2024 presidential candidates — Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Nikki Haley, Chris Christie, Ron DeSantis and Vivek Ramaswamy.
Look for some foreign leaders on the shelf, as Queen Elizabeth II and King Charles are bobbling away, as are the former royals, Harry and Meghan.
